Default How To Disable Auto Lock On Keyless Entry?

I have a 2006 xB with factory keyless entry and no aftermarket alarm. When I got it I was able to unlock the door with the keyless entry fob and they would stay unlocked. Today I disconnected my battery because I changes out my plugs.
After reconnecting my battery I noticed that when I unlock the doors with the fob after about a minute or so the doors will automatically lock. I dont want this to happen and would like to know how to disable this feature.
I did a search and the only info I could find is how to program a new key fob.

Anyone know how to do disable the auto lock feature?

Thanks

This only happens if you do not open any of the doors within a minute after hitting a fob. It's a standard feature of the factory system.

So if I unlock the door with the fob and open then close any door, the doors will not automatically re-lock and stay unlocked.

But if I unlock a door with the fob and dont open any doors, they will re-lock. Is this correct?

yeah, i think a lot of cars are going that way since people probably often hit the button by accident, and this way instead of the car remaining unlocked the entire time waiting for theft. my bmw does it too.

What I need to know is there a way to disable the auto lock feature completely. I really don't like it. I just threw my keys on the seat and left the door ajar to go into the house for my phone. Even though the door was not closed all the way, the car is now locked with my key inside. I find the whole system very inconvenient.
