Default Hurst shifter **** on xB ???

I was wondering if a Hurst T-handle brushed aluminum (metric) shift ****, Mr. Gasket/Hurst Part number: 1530018 fit on the stock Scion xB 5-speed transmission lever ???

Here is the response I got from Mr. Gasket/Hurst on this topic:
>>>
Solution: we have no info on what thread Scion using on there stick, sorry

Does anyone know if a Hurst T-handle will fit the xB ?????

Just go to your local auto parts store and borrow a thread gauge.

You need to drill and tap one of the adapters for M12 x 1.25 threads and get a lock nut to fix the position. I'm an old gearhead and am in the process of doing this.

I just got off the phone with Mr Gasket (Hurst). They now have a new part number for a Universal Tee Handle with a M12 x 1.25 insert (our size). 153 0020. No one in the entire world has it listed yet. I also managed to get the part number for just the insert set 154 5120 which they do not have a price for as it is a production part. The nice lady in customer service is sending me three sets for free and will be emailing me prices when she gets them. Meanwhile, I'm gonna drill out one of the other inserts and tap it M12 x 1.25 tonight and finally get this t-handle mounted as soon as my lock nuts arrive.

I got my Hurst shifter installed, I used the "blue" i12x1.50 insert without a lock nut... it fits but probably stripped the sh** out of the threads on the stock shifter handle (??). The handle is not as deep as the stock one, I have it screwed down as far as it will go and I have about 1/2-inch of threads still showing, but I don't really care. The brushed-aluminum Hurst handle really matches the interior trim of the xB *very well*, it draws comments from everyone who has seen it. It also just feels great while driving. I did move the retaining ring for the top of the shifter boot up a couple of inches, as I said the stock shift **** is much taller/deeper. My xB may not be a 1960's musclecar but now it has the shifter of one. ;)

I heard from Mr Gasket this morning. If you email Carolyn Hall CHALL@mrgasket.com , and ask for part number 1545120, their price is $5.07 for the adapter set that includes the M12 x 1.25 adapter and lock nut. Tell her you're from the ScionLife group.

The T-Handle set should be available at Auto Zone, Hurst p/n 153 0020.

If any one goes the retapping route, I have some lock nuts available at my cost ( $1.00 ) includes USPS, and 3 extra taps ($10.00 incl USPS. Had to buy a box of 5.).

You can get one from any Advance Auto Parts store. They have an exclusive on the one that fits a Scion Xa/Xb 5 speed. Make sure it is Hurst part number 153 0020. I have an extra if you want one (not for free).
