my bro just gave me his JL 10w7 and amp. i need a sealed box for it.
does anyone have one or know where i can can get one besides on the JL Audio site

 

Make your own box or if you want to be cheap go to Circuit City. They sell 10 inch sealed boxes. Very basic though.

yeah i know that u can buy a box there and a best buy but will those boxes make the sub sound as good?

 

I got one from circuit city for a rockford fosgate 10 inch sub and it sound like a sub in a sealed box. The quality of the box is good but not anything special. It does its job and sounds good.
I am sure that you could get better but I recommend the box if you don't want to make one.

 

As long as the air space is adequate and the sub fits physically, it will do want you want. You might want to consider better equipment before complaining about box specs.

ok well i dont know squat about anything audio. all i know is that i got the sub and amp and looking for a box.
i think im just going to go with the JL ProWedge but i cant seem to find one for sale seperate from the sub. any help?...

Pro wedge is a Loaded Enclosure, meaning that it comes with the sub. So you could sell your sub and buy the loaded one, or build/buy a box, generic or custom.

 

Do not buy a cheap pre-fab box from Circuit City!! Make your own or go to a reputable car audio shop and have them build you one. You will be much happier that way.

 

I have checked a couple of spots and it looks like the sub would like to see 1.25 cubic feet for the enclosure. So your question, "will the sub sound right?" Just make sure whatever box you use, Make sure that you have at least 1.25 cubic feet nside the box and the sub will sound good.'

Well, check the phone book and call around, also check on craigslist for some. You might want to look into some nearby clubs and might have some folks that will help you out or get you a deal.

KAD and Scikotics both have chapters in/around Tampa.
