if you have your key in the ignition and is on anything else BUT off, your doors WILL NOT LOCK because the system is designed to specificly not lock you out of your car with your keys still inside. also know, when you install these systems, the remote must be programed along with the system hardware for it to be completely compatable with one another.

you will find that when you get your car back and try locking it again with the key in the ignition on something other then "off" position, your doors WILL NOT LOCK period. when you ahve to car started, the remote WILL NOT LOCK period. if your doors are all closed and you try locking with the remote and the key is still in the ignition on a position other then "off" the doors WILL NOT LOCK. if your keys are still in the ignition and are in a position other then "off" and you manualy try to lock the doors, all doors but the driver side door WILL lock, the driver side door will bounce right back up if it is open. if you have your key in the ignition and is in any position other then "off" and you physicly try to push the driver door lock down while the door is open, it WILL NOT LOCK.

also know, the toyota/scion security system sucks *****. it will not go off unless the car is started without the system being turned off or if someone physicly pulls up the locks. broken windows, stolen stereos, someone hitting your car *unless it jolts a lock up*, someone taking your wheels and leaving you on blocks and all that nifty stuff... will not set the alarm off.

i've spent ALOT of time figuring out how it's set off. i even set inside the car witht he alarm turned on thinking there might be some sound sensetivity to it, nothing. i've turned it on and rocked the crap out of the whole vehicle to get it to go off, nothing. i've slapped the outside of the car as hard as possible without denting the paneling with the loudest impact sounds ever, nothing. i've done ALOT of things, just about everythign except smashing my windows, jacking the car up and taking the wheels off.

alarm ecu = brain. They are one in the same. Why did they order a new wiring harness for it?

Too bad you had to pay so much money, like twice for the alarm basically. But I guess I am really lucky to have sponsorship form a shop that would help me on this

I just feel bad you spend so much.
