i currently have a 2000 s10 i got 4 yrs ago, i painted the whole interior with KRYLON spray paint,Just 2 coats primer, 2 coats color and 4-6 coats of clearcoat. to this day it still looks band spanking new(4 yrs old) no cracking no chipping. my secret is to do it in the summer time when it is 90-98 degrees out side, do all the painting, let it dry fully and then set it in your 150degree car for a whole day, that will bake the paint right on to the dash. after that re-install it. if you have smooth pieces sand them . i am telling you the secret is to bake it in the car. plus krylon is the best spray paint, (DO NOT use rustoleum or dupli-color they suck)

Try www.Eastwoodco.com. They have a high quality plastic/vinyl paint. I used it afew years ago and it turned out awesome. It is kinda pricey compared to Krylon.

yeah, Krylon is good stuff. Its just the people who dont know what they are doing that give it a bad name.
Many people on this forum have seen my Krylon flamed washer and drier in my garage. Not bad for a fizz-can.

Preparation of the surface you want to paint is the most important-
Make sure its clean and scuffed before painting.
Always use a primer.
Only use paints that are of the same solvent base.
anything else let me know.
Interiors can be trickey, especially if you havent experienced this yet.
