if you have the iPod upgrade it should have come with a cable that plugs into the jack that's labeled "iPod." If you don't have this jack, you don't have the iPod upgrade, in which case you need a 1/8 to 1/8 stereo cable, which can be had at radio shack for $4-$12 or at bestbuy for $20 (the bestbuy cable is by monster, the others are radio shack branded.)

You will not be able to control the iPod with your stereo controls if you connect it with a 1/8 to 1/8 cable.

They come in annoyingly long 6 and 7 ft lengths, so get a cable wrap as well.

On my RS 3.0, it has the separate input for the ipod as well as the aux input as noted in the picture by jasonlm429 (I think this is correct for the 2006.5 version with the radio controls on the steering wheel). The cable was included with my car. When they installed the upgraded stereo, they may of misplaced or not given you the cable (by accident of course). I'm sure you can buy it at the Scion dealership if worse comes to worse (I would talk to the dealer first).

The upgraded stereo for the iPod comes with the "customer connection cord" if you paid the 270 bucks for the upgrade it was included with the new system. If you don't have the iPod connector in the center console you didn't get the upgrade. If you do and you don't have the cord go back and get it from the dealer.

Nah, it's a proprietary connection, which is why you have to get the cable with the car in the first place, so it's gonna come from a dealer of some kind...

call ken at trdsparks.com and give him the part number...he should be able to hook you up for at least a little less than that.

You should probably email that company to see if it works with OEM equipment. If it does, then that's what ya need.

I'm pretty sure that adapter is incompatible with an OEM headunit since it works through the CD changer control- and if we dont have RCAs, why on earth would they give us a CD changer port?

My guess is you'll have to ipod2car or else you could invest in one of the Alpine Fullspeed headunits that directly connect to the ipod, no adapter needed. For about $349 you get the whole package plus a nice looking head unit.
