Default Ipod Connector from Upgraded radio to AVIC-D1

Ok so I got the upgraded radio from scion for the ipod, then like an idiot decide I wanna get the Pioneer AVIC-D1 after wasted the $200 on the upgraded radio.

My question is... for the wire that runs to the middle console for the Ipod (with the upgraded radio) can that be used on the AVIC-D1. I would love to have the connector stay in the middle console. Any ideas? or answers?

still new to ALLLLLLLLLL of this. THanks!

its a totally different plug so it wouldn't work. just buy the ipod adaptor pioneer makes, it goes for about 100 bucks.that way the display will come up on the screen

jjos1... you have the avic-d1? and you couldnt use any of the stock (ipod or aux audio) cables for it?

Here is another question... the ipod adapter that pioneer makes, I can control the ipod from the head unit right?

I am looking for places to run the new ipod adapter... .any suggestions?

PS. So ____ed today, got hit with a pebble on the highway got a lil chunk taken out of my windshield.. going to get it fixed right after work. very annoyed!!!! could have been worse... it could have been the paint.

I have a Pioneer Premier 860 same harness, as for the wires I think you could use the stock aux input if you cut the wires behind the deck and put rca ends on, I don't know how that would sound (ground noise) the stock deck picked up some noise from my mp3 player so it could be worse with an after market head unit.

As for the pebble it could be worse I got hit a few months ago with a rock the size of a golf ball that dented and scraped my paint in two places on my hood and left 3 scratches on my windshield. Oh well now I have an excuss to get a CF Hood .

I have the pioneer IPOD adaptor to my deck and ran it to my center console VERY easily... My iPod sits inside the lower middle console area and I just had to cut near the cig lighter a little bit to get the connector through...

It doesn't work too easily if you have a TON of music, like me... but it's still pretty nice...
