Default iPod Video 60GB with Pioneer Avic-D1

Hey people. What's up? Quick question. I want to connect my ipod video to my avic-d1 - is it possible to connect it to the D1 and be able to play movies on the D1 as well as my music ofcourse. I know the music part is possible and pioneer has an adapter kit, but i was wondering if i can do this another way? thanks

This is exactly what i wanna do when i get the ipod video. The answer is yes it is possible! Right now i have an ipod nano connected to the D1 through the audio inputs. I can hear it when i select AV on the headunit and it will play when im driving but it locks out the video(ipod nano doesnt play video anyways). But once i get an ipod video i will hook the audio through the audio inputs and then hook the video to the rear camera video input so i will be able to watch videos or listen to music through the d1. so yes it will work as long u get the minijack to rca cable.

u should be able to find the minijack to audio/video cable at any local electronic store, heres an overpriced one from apple.

Other audio/video minijacks didn't work with my video ipod. Is there an auxiliary video in on the D1? If so, use the Apple cable. You can set the video to ask whether to push out to "tv" or not.
