Default JL Audio Amp / Sub Question???

for any JL Audio product experts out there:

would a JL Audio 250/1 be enough power for one JL 10W3v2...???

ive heard a 500/1 power one 10W6v2, and thought it was way too much power and i dont need anything that loud. that's why i'm thinking about the above amp / sub set up.

thanks in advance.

Yeah that should be enough.. I have the e1250 series amp which is the 250/1 powering 2 10w0s in my box.

I had a 500/1 on a 10w6v2 it sounded awsome! The 250/1 on the 10w3v2 should be enough and should sound awsome! I would go for it!

i think i'm going to go sealed. here are my reason's why: -going in a trunk (not scion); -the type of music i listen to; -i dont like the way the bass carries in a trunk in a ported box, stuff like that. i listen to a full range of music...btw.

what are youre thoughts?

like i said, i've heard your sub/amp set up in my buddies accord...and i thought it was way to powerful for my needs. it sounded awsome though. i can only imagine what it must sound like in your box.

thanks.

My system was setup for Sound Quality and not really hard dropping bass ... I listen to Rock/Metal so I don't need alot of bass ... When I chage the setting and crank the bass up on my amp controller, it defenatly drops hard. Just because you have a powerful sub and amp dosen't mean it has to always drop hard ... it all depends on how you want your whole system setup ...
I would get the bigger system and just setup the system for Sound Quality ... so when you DO want to drop hard bass all you have to do it kick up the bass **** and BOOM ... DROPEN BASS!
What headunit will you be running? Are you redoing your mids/highs?
