Just bought Scion Xb, 3 speakers not working...
I just bought a 2004 scion Xb release 1.0 and 3 speakers aren't working, only the driver's rear. i swapped out the passenger rear with the driver's rear and that one worked, so it's a wiring issue not 3 blown speakers.
i pulled the stereo (blaupunkt key west mp36) and the factory wiring harness is cut and wired into the stereo instead of using a wiring harness, but i found the factory wiring diagram online and verified that it is indeed wired correctly.
i checked the wiring on the pass rear speaker, and all the connections are good. it's tapped into the factory wiring for that speaker. i haven't looked at the front 2 speakers yet.
is there a factory amp inline somewhere that might have some issue? otherwise i don't know where to go from here
thanks for any help

Glad you found the problem, I HATE when people cut factory harnesses. Spend the extra $10 and get the adapter. If the other stereo was put in at a big box store (Best Buy / Circuit City) under the previous owner you may be able to get them to replace the stereo, though I wouldn't trust them to install it.
