just a question that's been bugging me. 2-Ohm wiring
-Yes i have dual 4 Ohm VC subs.
-Yes my amp supports 2 ohm independance.
This is the proper way to wire DVC subs to aquire a 2 Ohm independance on a 2 channel amp? \/\/
Somehow, i want to still think that it would still be a 4 Ohm independance being that each VC holds a 2 Ohm load......
So, now i've confused myself. Which is it?

Your first is 4ohm per channel. The second is 16ohm bridged.
This is what I would do:
If your subs are dual 4ohm, you would get a result of a 4ohm load. A 4ohm DVC is 4ohm per coil, not a total of 4ohm. That is unless the place that sold it to you gave you that line only so you would buy them.

That's what i was meaning

That can be wired bridged or mono (similar meaning).
You can do a DVC 4ohm speaker in series to get 2ohm, but you can't get 2ohm from two 4ohm DVC speakers. Your options are either 1ohm or 4ohm. You will probably yeild better results running both on seperate channels, unless your box is a common chamber box, and then you should run it in 4ohm bridged.

I the subs are each dual 4 ohm, You should run 4 ohm bridged like this:
And if your subs are each dual 2 ohm, run it in 2ohm bridged unless your amp isn't 2 ohm bridged stable...
wire them like this:

Okay! I think i understand!!
I'm using this amp for the time being: (Cheap pioneer)
Load Impedance Capability: 2~8 Ohm (Stereo), 4~8 Ohm (Bridged)
Continuous Power: (4 ohm) 125W x 2
Continuous Power (2 ohm): 190W x 2
Continuous Power Bridged: (4 ohm) 380W x 1
If i wired the subs like this bridged:
then i'll achieve the bridged 380W x 1 @ 4ohm which in this case would actually be 190W x 2 correct??

technically, the subs would be getting around 190 watts each, but most people would only verbally say it that way if they were running 2 channel mode at the amp.... since you've got it bridged, it'd be the 380 x 1 (mono/bridged)...
With that amp, bridged 4ohm load gives the same results as a stereo 2ohm load would....

Simplier than bridging, hehe. Thanx a ton! I understand now

I'm going the whole pioneer route right now cuz i'm building this system on a bit of a small budget.
Gonna be running 2 1000W Pioneer Premier TSW126DVC 12" subs
With the Pioneer GM-5100T 760 Watt 2-Channel Amp that i posted earlier.
Can't help but be excited
Having a custom fitted 3 cu. ft. sealed enclosure (only becuase vented and ported are not recommended w/ these subs) built wednesday morning.

That looks like a nice system!! And alot of bass!!
I'm in the process of downsizing my system now, I'm switching from two amps and a single 12" down to a single amp and a single 8". I hope it'll be enough bass though.

aww, I bought an old 6ch kicker amp(35 watts x 6 @ 4 ohms) and an Audiobahn 8", I'm not sure if it's new or not(from a pawn shop). Not a scratch on the amp .
For now, I'm putting the sub in a ported enclosure to try and get all I can out of it. It'll be hooked up later this afternoon.

Thanks, I just wanted my trunk back and to lighten up the weight alittle as well as have a system that is a better match to the stock electrical system. I may still upgrade the alternator some, but this way I don't HAVE to buy the biggest one I can get. lol
Are you going to the meet in Ames?
