You're aware that the KD-DV5100 is just the player right? Not including a screen? Just checking 'cause there's been some confusion as of late around here about stuff like that.

Yes i am. I guess im going another direction with my video in mine so that would just do for right now. The only thing i dont really like about that radio is that it has 2.5v line out. But thanks for the heads up other then no display i think it should be pretty cool.

Yeah, looks pretty solid. Never used any of JVC's car audio equipment, but everything else I've ever had from them has been pretty decent.

I'm sure it will do the job it's supposed to. If you'll get it cheaper than any other brand, I say go for it

It seems like a pretty good value for the money -- it's somewhere on my wish list -- with dts and digital optical output. Find a low price on Froogle, then pricematch to cardomain.com.

i'm not sure if the 5100 has 3 sets of pre-outs or just 2. I know the KD-DV5000 had only 2, so no sub control. my friend is running the 5000 and likes it alot. so I would say go for it.

Well guys i went out and purchased that head unit and so far i love it. Now all i have to do is get a screen for it and if someone can help me try to figure out what kind of screen and what to look for in a screen that will go with that radio. Needs to be 7in no bigger no smaller because it will be going where the stock radio is. This radio has Video out and Line in both RCA. Maybe i should post a new topic about this since i am new to in car theater.
