Default Kenwood DDX7015... Does it fit?

Does the Kenwood DDX7015 fit in the xB?

I see plenty of refrence to people having it in the tC but not the xB.

Yes, it will fit. However, Toyota uses a slightly wider opening than double DIN, so no matter what headunit you choose, you need a trim plate or adaptor bracket of some sort.

I love my kenwood ddx7015. As uncompiled said it fits fine except you need to make a little trim plate for the outside edges . Many people have used plexi glass to fill the gaps.

Crimson, it depends on what you want. Pioneer and Kenwood both have expandability as their forte. The AVIC-N1 is a flip up, whereas the Kenwood DDX fills up the stereo opening better. It's just my opinion, but if you have the room for it, then why not take advantage of it?

On the other hand, the AVIC-N1 also has the gauges, so it has more of a bling factor.

If you're really big on navigation, the Pioneer AVIC-N2 has XM NavTraffic built-in. It's the same feature that they have on the 2005 Acura RL that shows you current traffic speed on each road and redirects you to the fastest moving route (instead of only using the shortest distance).

Personally, of these choices, I'd get the Kenwood. There's a GPS module, you could hook it up to XM, Sirius, or a music keg, and I think it's a pretty sweet unit. If you use Kenwood Excelon amplifiers, then you can also take advantage of the Kenwood amp management system.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the help. I think I will go with the Kenwood.

Don't suppose anyone has any pics of it installed?

not the greatest flick, but hey. one thing i like is it looks natural, like it's part of the dash. not like the others that pop up to view.

actually i'm following a po-po. driving and taking a picture wasn't the easiest thing. i just took it since it's illegal to be watching while driving. yeah the only problem i've encountered is trying to keep my 3 year old from touchng the screen. other than that it's been great. especially since it plays almost everything. well every type of media i've encountered. still haven't ran into something it can't play.

Yes, Scosche and Metra do. They both make trim plates that you can cut to fit along the sides, but Scosche also makes a double-din bracket adaptor trim piece for Toyotas.

Do you know of any sites that sell those?
