Looking for ideas for a system setup!

I think Piston is definitely on the right path. I have two of the older versions (TM3-10D4) of those Diamond subs in my Dakota R/T Club Cab. They don't need a ton of air space, and they are pretty shallow. For the money, they are a hard sub to beat. And if you aren't worried about a shallow application, step up to the standard D3 10s.
I guarantee you will be more than satisfied with the performance you get for the money. It really is hard to beat the sound quality of these Diamond subs for the money. And they hit plenty hard when the occasion calls for it.

Get 2 Elemental Designs 11kv2/D4 and run it 1ohm off a nine.1 amp. 2-10's+ amp=$493 "package deal". Or go "0" series for even better bump.
I have 2-11k's in a 1cu/ft total eD spec sealed box. Tiny box/MONSTER sound! Unbelievable. See my profile for pics...

FreqBox is just about right, I have 4 15s (Orion’s) and I think I would crush 2 tens...Just my thinking....but I have been known to be dumb at times ..anyways, Put whatever you want In your ride. There are a Lot of brands out there and they sound different depending on what type of box,amps, power wires,rca's,CHARGING SYSTEM!!! you use.The list goes on..I will tell you that your first system should not be fixed to the car (fiberglass or a custom box) that way you can sell what you have and try something new until you find what YOUR ears like!

"ive got king kong in my trunk"
(not my sub, just a funny picture of overkill) Someone's ears will be useless if this thing was ever played within a 100 feet. Any xB's interested in making one of these.....lol

2 Pioneer GM-5100T 760 Watt 2-Channel Amplifiers
-190w RMS x2 @ 2ohm
($115 each) http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=GM5100T
Wire each sub 2ohm, 760 watts RMS and 1520 watts of peak power
I'd poop my pants
Total cost before shipping:
$530
Leaving a good deal of dough for an enclosure and a HU
Again if it were me, i would get a 2.0 Farad cap. Some say caps hinder rather than help, but i'm on the fence.
Pioneer is underrated in my opinion. I have experience with audiobahn, memphis, and alpine. My favorite overall is Pioneer/Premier. Best bang for the buck IMO.
Anyways, i'm biased--> I'm a Pioneer fanboy (I have Pioneer EVERYTHING) \/\/
