hahaha good call, i saw some projectors on ebay for like 120 or somtin though...those a rip off or somtin? or just not the "cool" ones, or what?
First of all the kits that you see on ebay only come with the wiring/ballast/and bulb. Usually the problem with these kits is that they use cheap products, that will break, or caue electrical problems.

Second, in order for these kits to work properly without producing glare so that other drivers wont get blinded, you have to change the houseing. This involves a lot of work.
so how about these?

if you can adjust the angle of the projectors then i dont see
those being a problem

Why do those look like they are off a Range Rover?

That auction says that it is....

"NOT made for HID bulbs, which are bigger and will not fit into the projector housings"

I dont know why someone would bother to make a projector housing, but not allow projector bulbs to be placed in there. This is the type of housing your looking for, but you need it to accept true HID bulbs.

Well some people just like the projector look I guess.

As for the comment about side vs. front, Halogen bulbs are something like regular light bulbs or flashlight bulbs - they use a filament and the light comes out all around, including the front.

HID are different. The use a sort of globe full of gas between two... I dunno what they are. Anyway, the light shines out in sort of a circle - but all to the sides, not the front. So the HID housings are built to guide it the right way - Halogen housings are expecting light from a different place. In any case, just buy the Luminics bulbs unless you're ready to put like $600 into your headlights.

they say that they take 9005, and 9006's for low and high beams, so you can put the lumunics in there if you want. I dont know how much the light output will be effected though.

9005/9006 are the size. I'm pretty sure that 9005 will be the low beams and 9006 will be the high beams, since thats what they are on the tC.

The best bulbs to get for light output are probably the luminics hyper white bulbs. There bright, super white, inexpensive, and come with a 1 year warrenty. I reccommend these bulbs to all of my friends.

Once again JRV, you are wrong. 9006 is low beams, 9005 is high beams.

This guys a joke. Big F*in deal, I mixed up the 2. Its 1 am in the morning, and I've been studying all day for finals. Your just mad because I said that your kits will cause glare if they are not properly housed. I bet your one of those people who will hold a grudge against me, and will look at my post history and try to contradict everything that I write.

you should be ok ..the bulbs these projectors come with are weak...
Luminics should improve that....

i just ordered a set of Luminis UVs...
and i have those projectors...
buy with confidence..with that price ..you can't go wrong..
and on the projectors..
bulb sizes are 9006 for low beams
9005 for high... if you were wondering...

Right... assuming those projectors are built for normal bulbs, the Luminics are the exact same size, so I don't see how they couldn't fit. You'll like them. I just installed them last night and I havnen't driven with them yet, but I sure like how they look on my garage wall.

1- So how does this work ? i need to get 2x 9005 & 2x 9006 ?
is this correct ?

2- how about that light that you turn on when you feel like idle'ing, (the bulb that doesnt fully turn on) ?

1. Yes - of course they're sold in sets of two, so you don't have to specify. Also, I just got the 9006's. If I throw on the highs, they won't match, but for now at least, I'm not too worried - I haven't used my high beams in years.

2. I have no idea what you're talking about. Are you talking about the parking lights? I don't think luminics makes those for our cars, but I'm sure people on here have figured out good matches for them if you need 'em.

It really has nothing to do with idling, but I know what you're saying. Those are called the parking lights, but if I remember correctly, they're amber. If you look in the manual it will tell you what bulb size they are. Luminics only sells high, low, and in some cases fog bulbs for the tC, so if you want something in there to replace it, you're going to have to go elsewhere. If it's what I think it is, you might need to change the color of the lens in the light to get the color you want - not worth it for me. Also be aware that I'm pretty sure those lights legally have to be a specific color, so if you mess with it, you might get busted for it.
