Default My Headrest Monitors (for xA xB tC) (56k warning)

I just wanna share some pics of my vizualogic headrest. it was either this or the myron & davis but I think this looks cleaner. also I didn't want to cut my headrests just to get a 5" LCD in there.

I was going to do another D.I.Y. but time was against me(so I couldn't take any more photos of the install). hopefully I can explain enough to get by

on with the pics,

the box it came in

comparison of the stock tc headrest and the vizalogic

for the 12volt savvy people out there this was the only thing that took time, taking those damn metal rings off the seat covers. after that you can stick your arm in there to run your wire(from the headrest post to under the seat)

after you got the wire under the seat you can run the wire along side the splitloom from the seatbelt warning wires(just make sure you leave some slack so the seat can recline and move forward and back and not snagging the wires for the headrests) and run it under the carpet to the brain of the headrests. and you can read the manual from then on about how to wire it up.

here's the finished pics.

with video feed.

video feed and no flash with my LCD mirror(reference to my LCD mirror and dvd player can be found here --->..:Click Me:..

and last...the side profile of the unit.

and that's all folks!!

Not bad, now I suppose you can't take those off now for the comfort seating.

Or you could and you'll just leave the wire dangling out, while the headrest lays on the rear foot area under the reclined seats.

tried the comfort seating but wasn't really that comfortable but anyway you can give the headrests some slack from the wires to do that I guess.

the part# is 82a-79064-8154 they also have the 82-9064-8154 which has no buttons at all and no IR for headphones. These will work for all Scions!

But yeah the screens look good...btw I hope you meant $130, and is that for just one?

I'm pretty sure he meant 1300, these prebuilt headrests aren't cheap. You can get a similar set for around 400 I believe from that one site everyone hates but seems to be on the up and up.

but you also have to consider that the material of the seat doesn't match and if your going to redo your interior it'll end up almost the same price! just a thought

yeah I know its a lil on the steap side but what can you do if you want a larger screen that the OEM headrest can't provide and the tC doesn't have the clearance for a drop down like the xB and drop down monitor have really gone down in price since I bought mine last yr.

here's a pic of my xB..

I also saw that site/package before. Problem is that they only come in leather and not cloth to match the stock seats. If I get those, I'll have to spend 1K to get leather seats to match the headrests :D

I'm sorry but $900 too much is your opinion..I never knocked LCDs products as long as their quality made and they satisfy the owner, so pls don't flame on the price I paid for because I made that decision with my hard earned $$ but the "extra" $900 got me what I was looking for...
which was
1) factory look and quality
2) bigger than what you can put in the factory headrest(5inch)
3) warranty
4) dual a/v inputs
5) IR for wireless headphones for my kids. and
6) the ability to send back the LCD to be placed in a different headrests to match if I sell my car(for a price of course)

I too was looking at those headrests but I wasn't going to redo my interior(in the future),only had a single input and no IR(which means I need to add another module somewhere which I didn't want) to each his own you know.
