Max, you are one of the few that would appreciate that interior
case in point that "VIP" will never be mainstream in the US
but I love it
my mom is a very experienced seamstress(HomeEd teacher for 37 years)
so curtains are next on my list
i agreee though, not feeling tha roof treatment
the LED mirror is LimoLuxury Deluxe!!!!!!

Looking through those pages (since a link was posted the

the Japanese culture and style wants their budget cars to
look and feel more like a limo. Completely different from
what we are doing out here!!

And yes, I've seen many awesome & crazy style rides there in the Far East. "Toraku Yaro" were bunch of truckers that have Modded their Big Rig's in a totally crazy way!
We owned 2- 1968 Isuzu Bellet GTR's Orange/Black, kinda like the color of my HotLava, and many other rides that was modded by my father & even allowed me to be involved in his love of one off rides. Man, I only wished we held onto them.
My brothers at that time rode some fast StreetBike's and raised hell in Shinjuku & Ikebukro (very happening place at that time!) and even thier Bike's were one off Mod's!
Oh, and thier thoughts on U.S. Imports, they love it! they just love to tweek it a bit and make it thier own, kinda like us.
I have imported alot of Harley Davidson parts for my Brothers Motorcycle Club there in Tokyo, Japan and they def. love it.
Anyway's, When I see pics like these, it brings me back to where JDM should be.
But remember, "it's your Style!" Mod it like no one else.
Thanks fo da pics Max2k

im sorry, but i like the fact that you can do all of that with the bb/xb. the fact is you have the ability and the choice. i may not like it, but i have seen a complete yellow interior that i actually liked, and i dont like yellow for cars at all... let alone on the inside. The fact that it is available is what makes me like it. and who knows... sombody may do something with one of the interior that you dont like that is so original and amazing that you may end up liking it. its all about the possibilites.

Hey Max2k, thanks for sharing those links... I am so fasinated by the products on the garson website!
I especially love the California look with the dash tables with surfboards that hold drinks and
your cell phone, the barefoot pedals and bright interior colors they use. Now if I can only figure out how to order stuff from them...
Interesting how different cultures view each other.

It's mods like these that set the xB (bb) apart from other rides out there. They just feel the bb the right way over there (IMO).
Some of that is utter garbage, but some of it is very nice.
I actually wish the tC had been released worldwide, because of the wide variety of options which would have been available for our cars.

I have recently travelled to Tokyo and Yokohama...the cars in Japan are ALL like the xA and xB's. A G35, or Starliner, looks like a limo in comparison to the vast majority of the other cars on the street. My point is this...Japan has a much larger market, there are no other cars available to meet the demands of the consumers for luxury items because there is not enough room on the streets for those larger factory luxury cars. Therefore they develop products to meet the demands of the people who own smaller cars. This issue is not one of capability, it is one of economics...money drives product development.

Although I've never bought anything good at Autozone.

I don't think it has to do with knowing what true JDM is, it's about knowing what you like. God himself could have came down from Heaven and gave me that interior along with some frankincense and myrrh, and I would still think it looks like a$$.

If I were to pay for leather, they'd HAVE to be those big puffy black seats. They look like pure limo luxury. I think maybe they spend more time in their cars than we do, I'd just as soon stretch out and relax in my house, but the wet bars and stuff give a real sense of luxury, not commuter car. Yes, could be a safety issue and/or open container issue... and did anyone notice they had a pack of smokes in the one? But for style it works, IMO.
It's the best of all 3 worlds - Scion on the outside, Toyota under the hood and Lexus on the inside. What more could you want?
Well, since I asked, I want this headlight/grille piece:

I do find it amusing that any thing JDM is considered so special by many people... I swear if I could convince some people I had a "JDM" scion logo they would pay dearly for it and be swapping them out the next day To me, the gauges are hilarious... paying money and going through trouble to find a JDM cluster that is based on units of measure not used on american highways.... if that is what you like... then go for it.. but it seems a step down IMO.
