THANKS I FOUND OUT!! yea you have to hold the A button down, turn the car to on, youll see the black line blinking, (you know you did it right if you do), then just do the sequence, when you turn your car off, the cd player will stay on a bit, and it will show the japanese characters. dont hold too long or you get the "time out" shooots, i was all hype when i did that LOL

yes i got the line blinking but i couldn't get it to work by holding both the text and the arrow down under folder and then turn off the car. the radio just goes off.

yup had an mp3 disc on track 2. can it be an mp3 disc?

son of a gun. it works. i popped in a regular music cd and went thru the procedure once and now i have japanese writing. thanks thanks thanks matt

I have an 06.

We hold the "mute" button to start the process.

Now, for the writing, I have the CDin , I get to the "change" mode, and then i hold "text" and what?

I dont have a folder down button. I do have the **** selector, but it doesn't work pushing it vertically downward. Trying other things.
