Default Pros-Cons: Overhead DVD player vs. In-dash

I was looking at some options for a DVD player and stumbled across this:
http://shopdelphi.com/products/consumers/mobilevideo/

I like that I can get it with a 10.2" screen and it has 3 inputs for video game stuff (I want to eventually put a Mac mini in my xB). Audio is piped out through an FM transmitter.

Any pros or cons of this versus an in-dash player? The 8" has a MSRP of $499, while the 10.2" has a MSRP of $799.

Depends on who's going to be watching for one thing. If it's for passengers in the back, the drop down would be better than the indash. The problem I see with dropdowns is that they tend to get bouncy, worse with larger screens and that the drop-down movement can block your view out the rear.

As Scionicman said the drop down blocks your view unless you put one over each seat.
