so I recieved my camera and monitor mirror today.
I am wondering if anyone has their rearview camera installed inside their xB aimed out the back window mounted on headliner? Will the camera have problems seeing through the rear window? I don't want to get rid of the rearwiper and i already have the power for the camera figured out.
Here is what i have...

Any help or pics would be great.

since the camera is a night vision one, you probably will see the leds reflecting off the back window in the monitor, you'll see a ring of leds. I have heard of a couple of people mounting their camera in the 3rd brake light and having that problem. if the camera wasn't a night vision one you would probably be ok.

this is like the one I got off ebay. it's a night vision camera so you can see out about 10-15 feet with no light. the one thing about the night vision cameras is that they are bigger then the wiper hole, so you will have to make the wiper hole bigger. but I will tell you the night vision is well worth the extra work.

Would the rear wiper fit back in later if I want to sell it? A long time from now of course. Or will the hole be to big?

^^^ Also I just put my night vision camera in and I have led rings even during the day. I hooked it up in the shop and it was fine, then The next day it was red on the bottom and fine on the top. I love the camera But I might change to a reg one but I had to shave off alittle to make this one fit....
