Default reverse wiring harness

ey peeps, im installing an amp for my tc but i will still be using the stock HU 4now.. got all the needed stuffs including the RCA out converter, kits, etc... all i need now is a wiring harness... since i dont want to splice/cut the original factory harness, is there a place i can buy a wiring harness for both ends? meaning that i can juct simply plug the other end to my HU and the other end to the original factory wire harness so i can be cutting the wires from there and not from the original one. oh i will also try amplyifying the stock front speakers so i really need to cut some wires... help please...

a stero shop can have/get it for you...
you should get both male and female types...that way you can still use the factory power, ground, ill.....without cutting up those on the factory harness....

I used Metra harness #70-1761 and #71-1761. One plugs into the radio, the other into the factory harness. I used these harnesses together to get high level input front and rear as well as power for my Sirius tuner.

all best buys should have it. it is the standard toyota harness that jltd mentioned. you will need the forwar(70) and reverse(71) harness if you do not wish to cut any wires.

heres the metra wire harness part numbers 70-1761 (forward 87-up harness)
metra 71-1761 (reverse wire harness 87-up)
i think its somewhere in the tech section as well under radio installation (xa-xb)
hope this helps

i work in the circuit city roadshop, and on our web site with tech information it says we carry the plug that goes from a universal into a toyota plug, but when i asked my manager about it, he said they dont get them....go to a junk yard and cut one...so tahts one option

did you say amplify stock speakers? funny...

Usu. they're already powered enough from the factory and they're Paper cone speakers if i am not mistaken. Go and buy some decent speakers if you plan on amping anything. - do what you will, but thats my opinion...

sorry shamgar but i think amplifying them and filtering the low frequency from the stock speakers will make them last longer and sound better. amplyfying doesnt only mean poewring it up til it blow but simply amplyfying it fully give ot iys potential sound... i can alwayas adjust the gain of my amplyfier if it would be too hard for the stock to handle... i think it would be better if i can filter the lows and just let the sub do it... FYI, the stock speakers itself is decent....
