Rewire stock iPod interface cable...

I have a iPhone 2G and im looking to get a iPhone 3gs. One feature I like and dont want to loose is the charging from the stock scion cable. I know you can buy an adaptor but I think that would look clunky. Is there some one that has modified the stock interface cable to regain charging?

Scosche passport. Anything DIY would have more bulk than the passport.

well, the Neo ipod adapter works great and is iPhone 3GS compatible. google it
