ScanGauge II plugged in.

I did have to remove the dash. I cut a hold in the plastic in the top of the cubby just behind the Scanguage. It was a little bit of a pain but it makes for a super clean install and the hole will not be seen if/when I remove the Scanguage.

I used the velcro that came with it. It was super tacky so it's holding very well. I used the velcro because I wanted to be able to quickly remove it to use on other cars. Getting the cable out will be the pain.

I suppose you could just rustle up some more cables, or see if you could make an extension cable to reach from the dashboard down to just next to the ODB II port.

Got mine in the mail today. Man this thing rocks!
Full throttle acceleration from a stop yielded me between 2 and 6 mpg.
Cruising at a steady 35 gave me 55 mpg.
At some point I will chart some of these and other figures the SG2 puts out.

Lately I've taken to driving around with the today's trip mpg as the display. It's not as much fun as the realtime 4-gauges-at-once display, but it does keep the daily cumulative mpg right in front of me at all times. It's only 1/4 as distracting, too. :@)

I shot this pic and thought I would share.
How do you get 315 MPG in your xB??? Go 62 MPH and let off the throttle.
Please excuse the crap install... I have not figured if this is where I want to install it, so its just chillin in front of the wheel.

Stupid thing about my car is that it doesn't have a clutch.
STUPID AUTO.
I hate it.

I've had one of these for a few months now, I love it. I usually leave it on the average daily MPG readout, since I have it mounted in the cubby under my HVAC controls... kinda dangerous to play with it while driving. Gives my passengers something to do, though. I like how you can change the backlight color.

I recently moved from the SG1 to the SG2 (SG1 was ugly, large, and I could not find a good place for it in my newer car). Since putting the SGII in, I have seen a dramatic increase in gas mileage, and I have become somewhat obsessed in try to max MPG. I usually have up MAP, MPG, Intake Air temp, and Coolant temp.
