I saw a Scosche AUX input converter at Target the other day for about 20 bux... It said it would work with pioneer radios with an IP bus interface...

I'm assuming the answer is no, but that won't work with the head unit in an Xa will it? I know they sell converters which run around 80.00.

I'm getting ready to buy one of the PIE Aux converters, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't spending 80 bux by mistake. :p

 

The Scion factory radios do not have the Pioneer IP bus interface for you to tap into. Granted, the head unit is made by pioneer but... it just doesn't have that interface.

So, don't buy it.

Anyone else willing to chime in? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

Cool. I figured that was the answer, but I just wanted to make sure the cd changer input that you can get the converters for online wasn't just an ip-bus interface that they didn't tell anyone about or something. :p

In anycase, I bought the real converter yesterday so wish me luck on my GPS install! :p
