Default Seat swap...or other alternatives.

I'm really wanting to change the look of my seats up without racking up a huge bill. The thing that really bothers me is the way it has lint ***** all along the sides and the color.

I'm not too sure about seat covers, I've never really been into that.

Has anyone changed out their seats? If so, do you have some pics and if not too personal, some prices? I also thought about reupholstering the seats and was kind of wondering about pricing. Anyone got some info on that?

Hmmm leather kits have been available reasonably recently and they dont fuzz ball. There were some leather kits for less than $300 recently but I think the vendor may have sold them all now, but maybe not. Try this thread for info.

Yup they aren't particularly hard to install. Upholsterers vary a whole lot in their pricing to hazard a guess would be useless. You need to call a few and maybe you can get them to give you an idea of cost.

I have some cheaper ones right now that were about 275 for the set but they are cheaper fitting and looking than the wet okoli ones. You get what ya pay for when buying neoprene seat covers. They will be the next ones I get when I change up my interior color scheme.

I've heard that the seats are interchangeable but aren't the brackets the same height? What makes you feel the seats are too high. With all that head room mine could still go up an inch or so and I wouldn't mind.

I just feel like im sitting in a chair and not a seat of a car if that makes any sense. It doesnt really bother me I just think it would be nice to see if it would be possible. And I just thought that the xA brackets were lower.

This is my goal for my next major mod. 4 racing seats! Ive seen this done in a Jetta. The rear will not require sliders and can basically be bolted directly to the floor. Moddifications may be needed in the xB due to the uneven floor where the bench seat currently resides.
