Serious Sub Set ups
I want to get a pretty serious sub set up going, but still want to have the trunk available... can people post some pics of their set ups so I can get ideas... I want it to be pretty loud and powerfull, so im thinkin a spare Battery, Amp, Capacitor, and 12" sub setup, all done into the the trunk area, taking up minimal space... lets see whats out there lol!

Aah the proverbial wanting one's cake and eating it too! BTW I've never quite understood that saying since I've had cake and ate it too. My advice if you are looking for lots of sound in a small area is to go with a woofer that will displace a lot of air in a given space. Woofers such as the Image Dynamics IDMAX, JL Audio W7 & W6v2, TC Sounds TC-3000, etc. would fit the bill nicely. I currently utilize a single JL Audio 13W1v2 in a sealed enclosure of 1.5 cubic feet after driver displacement. It provides me with lots of clean bass and doesn't take up a ton of room. In regards to the electrical system you can save some room by using a High Output alternator in lieu of a second battery. Here's a couple pics of my sub enclosure:

dont forget component speakers, i think that's more important than bass. night and day difference, stock compared to a nice aftermarket component system. helps balance the loud bass.

Can take 4x8, 3x10 or 2x12. Put grilles on it and still leaves a "fair" amount of room for cargo.

yeah I have all the factory speakers changed out and amped... Im thinking of having a set up where I take out the spare tire and lil cubbie thing, and then putting a 12" where my spare tire was, and then in the cubbie space have a amp and cap for the sub, and then somehow fit a battery back in there if needed haha

Here is the box i built, 4 Diamond audio d3 10's, 2 diamond audio 800.1 amps, and 1 Battcap 400. It pounds pretty good.
edit: in the 06 we have 2 Type-R 12's powered by a diamond audio 1200.1
