and sraudio suggests Alpine E type promo w/ 2 Etype 10's and 1 400 watt amp for $300. thats probably what ill go for... feel free to keep giving suggestions. also im 16... i dont have enough income for a comma (dam expensive commas) but 400-500 is where im shootin... and 500 is a little high (once agian no cash money lol) kk thanks again for all the helpsz
Okay. I know you're 16 and waiting seems impossible. I definitely understand that. Seeing as you won't be doing the work yourself you will end up spending more than $500 on your system. I would probably suggest a 4 channel amplifier with one or more subs and a different CD player. The SCION unit will work but I think you'll find that it works best with OEM equipment. Plus, Christmas time is near and unless you're getting coal in your stocking I'd ask for audio stuff from the family/significant other/etc. Mark

Okay, this would be a pretty good start. A nice sounding system that is fully upgradeable, sound great from the start, and not totally kill you on price. This is a pretty much complete system The only things additional you'd need are baffles for the front speakers, mounting the tweeters somewhere, and some sound deadning materials. This is from http://www.woofersetc.com and I hope that it shows up okay.

i think that you should save up your money and go with a really good system the first time around..... if u go with a cheap system then you will regret it when you hear another person with slammin sounds and end up spending a bunch of cash 2 times!

ok, so where am i gonna get the money? this 400 is out of my own savings... cant really dig out any more w/o goin into my college fund (which i cant do either so dont say go for it). i know the best deal is to go with the best.... but i dont need to turn my trunk into a giant sound system for 2000 dollars... i just want better speakers, and sub (which is out of my price range) and an amp. 400 bucks should get me that. now if you wanted to GIVE me some money....

CASH AND CHECK ACCEPTED! OR SPARE PARTS! ILL TAKE EM TOO!

lol but fo real... i think ill check out eD just to make sure... but where would i get em installed?

Not an audio expert when it comes to wiring, but I think this would work...

NINe.4 - $185
Eu-700 x2 - $75 (This week only)
eDi 6000 v.2 - $95

Total without wiring or enclosure - $355

You can add a dual Eu-700 carpeted enclosure for another $90.

As long as that amp will work out you should have a pretty well rounded system for not much more than what you are looking to spend.

Audiovox Rampage BA-100 Subwoofer with a built in 200 Watt Amplifier
Brand new in the Box $29.95!
I bought one and then bought another two days later. that's why the two different colors. I'm sure you could specify matching colors. A very good ebay vendor.

http://stores.ebay.com/Audiocyber-Store

I purchased two of these units and a stock toyota Bazooka harness ($60). A very simple, straight-ahead install. The seats are down for the photo but the units fit perfectly behind the rear seats and sound great.

If you are a student with a budget, this is a great system.
