Default Speaker Level input install question

I just purchased an infinity basslink. As the stock HU does not have RCA outs, I'm currently attempting to wire the woofer via speaker-level inputs.
I ran the lines today just to test the sub, but the sub didnt want to turn on.
I only wired the rear two speakers for the inputs, as the door speakers seemed too time consuming to do.

Now, I have a volt meter, so I know that the power and ground connections are fine. It shows 12.5 v (at the sub) when the car is off, but when I turn it on, it diminishes down to 6v. I'm assuming that its because the sub is trying to stay off.

So I have come to the conclusion that the speaker level inputs are either wired incorrectly or the lines are not giving off enough watts for the sub to sense the signal. What's going on?

I tested the basslink on my other car, with the rca inputs and rem wire and it worked fine.

Help?

Blake

does the basslink specifically accept speaker level inputs?? if not, then you just need to get a converter that will take speaker wire signal and convert it into RCA low-level signal....

yeah the basslink specifically accepts speaker level inputs. no line converter is required.

Where are you getting power from? Where are you getting your remote wire and ground from? I installed an amp in my xA and used a simple toggle switch to power the remote.

??
all i'm wondering is why the sub doesnt auto turn on when hooked up to the rear speakers?

the basslink has speaker level inputs, so a line converter is not necessary. when using the speaker-level inputs, a rem wire is not necessary either as it auto senses signals to the speakers, then turns itself on.
