4 gauge for the power and ground for the amp will be fine, 12 gauge for the sub to the amp will be fine also. I also have the same sub but have not installed it yet, waiting to buy the amp. Good luck!

First, what LOC did you get? Post that up and I'll tell you which wires connect to where. Also, which SQ10 did you get? 2 ohm or 4 ohm? On top of getting enough 4AWG wire to run your power and ground, you probably should get a decent 4AWG in-line fuse. An in-line fuse will not only help protect your amplifier, but also will protect the rest of the car, its passengers, and you from damage or fire should the power wire ever develop a short.
Last, if you're in or around the north Houston area and would like some help, PM me. I've installed an amp or two before.

usually on most LOC's the brown wire only gets grounded if you get motor noise. That should not be a problem since you crossover will eliminate any noise coming through. If you are running any other speakers off that amp, you may want to ground it if you get any alternator noise.

OK, here we go. on the LOC yo have white wires and gray wires. The white is left and the gray is right and of course the black stripe is negative. All you have to do is splice them into the rear speaker wires coming off you factory deck. Those wire colors are:
Right rear + is red
Right rear - is white
Left rear + is Black
Left rear - is yellow
splice those in and turn those 2 adjustment pots all the way down until you fire up the system. with the volume turned up to around 1/4 or so, turn those pots up until the sub amp starts to play the sub. Now, go back to your sub amp and start to turn the gain up on the amp. This is NOT a volume adjustment and the general rule is you turn the radio up to 3/4 volume, then turn the gain on the sub amp up until the sub starts to distort (don't worry you will hear it distort), then back the gain down 1/4 of a turn. Now this sounds easy, but you may have to tweak the LOC and the amp to get it to sound just right. If you got a lot of money, go check out Rockford Fosgate's adapter called the 360. pricey but awesome!Let us know how it goes!

If you only have a 2 channel LOC, you can grab from either the front or rear channels but not both. I have a plug and play LOC that plugs between the radio and factory harness that I will sell you for $35. PM if interested.

Im sorry if im threadjacking.. but one quick question since everyone is on the topic of speakers... I have 8 SQ10's and a Nine.2X amp.... would I be able to use my factory HU on this setup? or with so much power would i have to buy a new aftermarket HU.. and also, would i need a new POWERFUL"ER" battery instead of my stock one? perhaps like a Yellow-Top or sumthing? thanks, and sorry
