Stock Radio Greeting, Can it Be CHanged???

OK. I printed the instructions above and took them outside with me...didn't work.
Also, I briefly perused Pioneer's website a couple of nights ago, and since these models are only available with a Scion, there are no links to look at them on the site. I'll go back in a couple of days and look for a "Contact Us". I'll certainly keep y'all posted...

the text does not scroll per say, but if you hold the text button down it will advance to the next screen of text.
i.e. if it says 03-Guido Rap-Kiss my ___ you ho
you can press and hold the text key and it will beep at you and advance the rest of the way- nkey motherf&cker.mp3
but I have yet to see it scroll...
later

Display Characters
How many characters can the display hold without having to scroll.
I am making Scion Mix discs for my girlfriends XA...
I want everything to be cleanly displayed.
She has the stock six disc changer.
I would like to know:
# of Chars for CD Title
# of Chars for Folder Name
# of Chars for Artist, Title, Album
Thanks to all you sciontists in advance...

Hey on the topic of changing the greeting on the display. We checked the instructions an noticed that they only work on 05 head units. Not 04. We tried it on both and they only worked on the 05 units. A good way to check to see if you have an 05 unit is to hold down your ssp button till you get to the car type screen then scrool up and if u have an 05 head unit then it should say, car type xA, xB, tC. And if you have an 04 unit then it will only say xA, xB. I hope this clarifies things up a bit. The manual has changed to reflect these changes, so an 04 manual wont have the layout on page 18.

This is how U do it, I read this thread and couldnt figure it out..
While the radio is on..Press and Hold the "A" button
Turn the Key in the OFF Position while holding the "A" button
Turn the Key back 2 the ACC Position
Take your finger off the "A" button and press the "M" button once, then again and hold..
Turn the Key in the OFF Position and the Display should stay up and you can Customize your message..
I may have said the same directions but the others seem 2 confuZe me..If U need help..PM me. I got mine saying "Hey Trav" haha Peace
