Default Stronger lift gate struts?

Anyone replace their lift gate struts with a set that pushes harder than the stock ones?
Don't know if having the rear lift gate/hatch come up (practically) on it's own was plausible. And not have to be able to bench 600 lbs just to closed the hatch.

Thanks

Its designed to be an assist, not a power hatch.

Mine has deadening and insulation...have to lift it and it stays open just fine. Not *that* hard to do! If you go to stronger lifts, it will take more force to close just like you said. And it puts more strain on the mounts and hatch.

Install a linear actuator and run the electronics with two relays to reverse polarity. Now you have a power hatch.
