Default Subs in the xB

Just wondering if anyone out there has put any subs underneath the driver and passanger seat. I am wanting to get a little bit of bass in my box but I want to keep all of my space in the back.

Was thinking of maybe some 8's or see if some 10's would fit in.

Anyone done this or thought about it?

thanks

Peace!

Plenty of people have done this. On Ebay there is always some under the seat sub boxes.

I've had 10 inch Arc Audio subs under both of my front seats for over a year now. They work really good and then I added another one in the rear about 8 months ago.

Chris (autosound) made them when Rockstar Customs was open here in Tracy. He has since closed and will be opening another shop. Unfortunately, I don't know where or when. There's around 5 of us in the Bay Area with this set-iup, and few more peeps that have it too, that's not in the Bay Area.

Wow, Sub design must have come a LONG way since I used to build them.
I can't imagine a Sub even fitting under a seat, let alone having enough airspace
to get good solid bass!

I still build custom boxes that you tune to any 10" sub in minutes. But they are
14"X14"X26", but this design is at least 10 years old.

I'm going to have to research all this new sub tech.

Some people have bought this box. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...522039795&rd=1

I'd be a little concerned about it only being 1/2" mdf. But fits well, already made, good price.

We're in the same boat. The last set-up I ever had were 4 - 8 inch Pyle subs, in a push/pull set-up in the back of my 1976 Celica GT liftback. Powered by Sanyo PA-6100 amps. That was back in 1983.

I have this box in my XB and love it. I wanted some bass with out the loss of space. I have a 10" with a 350watt amp under the drivers seat, with the factory head unit. Good sound, not on par with my other car, but better than nothing.

Bad idea. Anything purchased from the dealer is not a good idea, especailly when the tubes aren't a good buy in the first place. I have a fried with a ford 150 that has considerably less "under-the-seat" room, and he fit an 8'' maybe a 10'' under passanger/driver side seats.

The stock bazooka tube from Scion sucks, big time. I bought it then sold it. I recently installed a 12 inch JL W0 sub and it works great! Dosn't take up to much space. One amp for all 7 speakers. Also installed Alpine EQ and left the stock radio in. I really don't recommend the Scion sub.

41$? say itsnt so....forget it, I will wait for another one to come up on ebay. Someone should buy it and reverse engineer it to make more? that would be cool.
