41$? say itsnt so....forget it, I will wait for another one to come up on ebay. Someone should buy it and reverse engineer it to make more? that would be cool.
I talked to the guy and he normally sells them for $75. Just in case anybody was iinterested. He also sells a custom made box that fits into the rear cargo space beside the spare tire.

You might also check the audioformz box. Its a bit more expensive but it mounts flush in the storage area next to the spare tire. I just ordered one yesterday, I'll post here once I get it installed next week to let you know how it sounds. There are a few people on this forum that have bought them and have been pleased. The company makes two boxes, one with a 5.5 inch mounting depth and another with 6.5.

www.audioformz.com

The smaller one is availible on ebay for $225 shipped.

Wow, Sub design must have come a LONG way since I used to build them.
I can't imagine a Sub even fitting under a seat, let alone having enough airspace
to get good solid bass!

I still build custom boxes that you tune to any 10" sub in minutes. But they are
14"X14"X26", but this design is at least 10 years old.

I'm going to have to research all this new sub tech.
We're in the same boat. The last set-up I ever had were 4 - 8 inch Pyle subs, in a push/pull set-up in the back of my 1976 Celica GT liftback. Powered by Sanyo PA-6100 amps. That was back in 1983.
back in the late 70's/early 80's Sanyo had some amazingly fast and powerful mosfet amps

So would anyone be interested in buying this one for 50$ instead of 75$? Cause I got my hands on one and will be reverse engineering it soon.

I'd pay $50 if it was carpeted and ready to go.

Geez.. and you figured that out yourself? first of all if you anything about audio... a slew rate of 70 is amazingly fast then and today and that is what they had...that is up in pro audio territory.....second second MOSFET amps were great then and they work well today.... maybe you should do some reading..... and what makes you ASSume I do not anything about the latest audio finally if you read my post I was talking about those amps in that era....don't take offense to this but maybe you should know, read and understand a post and ask questions before you make ASSumptions...okay now back to mild mannered self

Hehe, that's how I was feeling when I started researching
gear for my box. I was shocked that Fosgate was being
sold at Best Buy! LOL I'm old skool.

Do those sub boxes just sit on the floor, or are they somehow attached? Does that take away / give anything to the sound? I'm looking at those bigtime... kind of like subwoofer training wheels

Getting ready to do my sub box in the WHOLE rear underfloor area. Spare is getting kicked out. I won't drive my xb on a daily basis (got a beater for that), so when I do drive it on extended trips, I'll set the spare and my jack bag in with me.
