Get them! I love mine, they are much brighter without going to a higher wattage, and are very white. Definitely not blue, which I hate, plus, the blue ones tend to be not as bright unless you go to a high wattage.

Buy them!. I have them on my POS truck and they make a huge difference. I think they will only cost like $20-25 each. There was a rebate going on with them, and if you "search", you should stumble across another thread about them and the rebate. It was originally posted a few weeks ago. Check under ICE.

Oh, I've had them for about 9-10 months, no problems with longevity so far.

from what I have heard the life expectancy is about 10 to 20% of a normal bulb... I think 500 hours is normal, expect 50 to 100 hours...

as a reference, xenons are expected to last 2000 hours...

I have SilverStars in my xA and I love 'em. I aslo have them in my wife's car and they were in my truck that I sold to buy the xA. I can't speak for the set in the xA, because they've only been in for a month, but the ones I had in my truck were in it for almost two years before I sold the truck. I never had one go out. The set in my wife's car has been in for over two years now. Also no problems. One thing I did was to wear a pair of latex gloves to handle and install them. Any oils from your skin will dramaticly shorten the bulb's life.
If you really want to see how much whiter and brighter they are, just do one side and stand back and look at the difference.

I would say don't waste your money. The light might look good, but it's not actually brighter and they don't last as long as the OEM pieces.

I have them in my xB, I can't attest to the lifespan as I've only had mine for 2 months. But I'm glad I got them, The light is whiter and lights objects up better than other halogens. When I'm on the highway I can see my light reflecting off of signs even with other cars in between me and the signs, my lights light the signs up much better. For $30-$40 I'm satisfied with them. I belive I paid $30 from Walmart.

The silverstars are great i had a set in my Frontier but havent put them in xB didnt want to pay another $40 for headlights so i got the APC Plasma Ultra White from wal mart for like $15 or $20 and got two sets one for headlights and one for foglights and they are nice and bright and white not blueish and not the yellowish stock.. I'm satisfied for about $30 for everything.

I've had the same set for like 2 years...

I had them in my matrix (with daytime running lights, btw)
Now they're in my fog lights... Still work just fine... Still bright

Peace

I thought about the Silverstars too. Then I saw their price. And it's true about the lifespan. But the bottom line is, watts are watts. More watts, more light. Silverstars are DOT legal and claim to equal 100 watts by using only 65 watts.

I got the xenon blue 100w/55w, and they were about $15 each. (Not street legal, but who cares?) They last longer, and run cooler than stock, and at 100 watts on high beam, you'll dim your Silverstars if you're coming the other way, otherwise I'll burn your retina.

For the price, you cant go wrong. Are they brighter, absolutley, with out a doubt. For $25, it has been one of the best mods i have installed.

assuming you are talking about the Silverstars... they SEEM brighter because of their color... they do not make more lumens, they do not consume more wattage - they SEEM brighter because they are bluer... I am not saying they are BLUE, I am saying bluer than the standard 3000K temp rating of halogens...

Best bang for the buck. Much better than buying some ricemobile headlights from an asian marketplace and having them blow up in your headlight assembly.
