i got 3 different sets of subs. one set of Arc Audio 12" Subs, another set 12" RE audio SX, and my beauties 12" RE audio XXX. love the XXX but they are LOUD so i roll with the SX and they are good also. i'm suppose to use my XXX's for shows but i'm the laziest person when it comes to switch things

...depends on what you're looking to do.
SPL woofers aren't going to sound as clean and SQ woofers aren't going to hit the peak SPL numbers.
If you're looking for strictly SPL, I say Orion HCCA with MASSIVE amounts of power. These woofers will take 5,000w and keep on going! Nothing else even comes close to handling that kind of power without frying in the process. If you don't believe me, watch and learn!
If you're looking for SQ, I'd say go with a JLW6v2 or W7. Both are very clean and perform well with the appropriate amount of power. The IDQ is also an exceptional performer.
If you're actually looking for "bang for your buck", then there are many choices in between that will suit the budget and still provide good quality performance. Keep in mind, if you're shooting for the best in either SQ or SPL categories, you've got to pay to play!

Wow, hey everyone. Soo sorry, I've been busy..but thanks for all the input..as far as pricing goes..it doesn't matter...all he wants is the top of the line...he doesn't like "cheap crap"....he wants the subs to BANG but not so much where u can't hear the lyrics..or it rattling the hell out of the car...the sizes..he wants to keep them small, because he still in the army for 10 more months..so he has lots of equipment to haul.... 10"....to 12" would probably be good...
