as long as you only use it in an emergency you should be dandy ;) But what are the odds that you'd put that in without wanting to show it off... a lot..

most people hide them under the front bumber. i guy who used to go to my old school had 4 of them, but they were the cheap plastic kinds so it sounded like soemthing was wrong with his engine when he honked.
im pretty sure its illegal to have a horn over a certain size, or a horn that makes over a certain decible. also its not legal to have horns used my emergency vehicles or law enforcement vehicles.

just dont honk at a cop...., and then wire some kind of kill switch on the ground wire, so if you do honk it, and a cop pulls you over, you can kill the ground to the horns (air valve, if you use real train horns)..and say, "See, my horn don't work officer"

and yes they are more illegal than having loud music, and i have got many tickets for loud music. I should have enough room for everything, mounting the horn somewhere in the front, the compressor where the spare tire is and the air tank in the cargo area.

The shorter the tubing is, the louder.
The air has to be pushed from the rear of the xB, to the front; thus losing some air travel.
For better results, mount the air tank in the bumper cavity. I haven't taking off the bumper yet, or I could show you.
I did it on my civic, and no one could tell.
Goodluck!

Well I have a set of Stebel air horn fitted, mounted inside the front bumper, have to remove the bumper and fit the air compressor and six trumpets into the right corner, actually have enough space for them all.... separate switch, when press, it sound the intro to the Godfather tune.
Link to the manufacturers web is here...

It's amazing how things are different in different places. I'm visiting New Delhi, India on business but all you hear are horns blowing. Nobody uses their mirrors even if they have them.
My dad had a switch so he could use the same button on the steering wheel to use the regular horn and a siren type alarm that they had back in the 1970's for car alarms. Maybe I can do the same thing with a big 'ol air horn?

Actually my set of Stebel Godfather does not have an air tank... it is a small electrical compressor of about 5 inches and 3 inches diameter..... fits snugly together with the six trumpets in the corner of the bumper. Opening the bonnet and unless close inspection is done, the horns cannot be seen easily.
Anyway they are illegal here where I am, but who cares, the horns are only sounded at meetups and not for daily use. A group of my friends actually have fitted the same set as me, and we like gatecrashing at different car group meetings, and give them our salute. Imagine 6 to 10 cars of differnet make, driving pass a group of same model cars, we each blasting out our horns..
