Default Under-seat Subwoofer (Basslink?) in xB

Hey all,

I've enjoyed lurking here since I got my new BSP box about a week ago...lots of great info!

I'm going to be installing an Avic N1 Nav system in the coming weeks....just wondering, while I'm at it, if it is feasible to install an Infinity Basslink underneath the passenger seat...I've heard both yes and no, just wondering if anyone has done it...I'm not interested in clogging my trunk with components and a custom fiberglass enclosure s a bit outta my budget at this point, considering the nav system.

Thanks for any info...I'm pretty sure that lil Kenwood WOOX will fit under there, but I'd love to get a 10' under there if possible.

Happy motorin,
Matt

No. It's too tall, even if you lay it horizontally.

Yeah... if you want small, Clarion and Kenwood both have really small powered woofers... or just build an underseat box and get a separate amp. It'd probably come out about the same in cost as any of your other options anyways. I know Blaupunkt and Peerless make a 10" sub with a 5" mounting depth if space is a concern.

re-audio makes a few different 10"s with mounting depths of 5" or less (re-10=4/58 mounting depth). btw- I'm making a underseat sub box similar to superjeer's and it looks like there is about 6.5-7" depth to work with...so depth may not be a problem.

make your own box, buy an amp...at least you can upgrade it and play with it as you go,...

be prepared to find another place to mount the brain for you N1 if youre gonna put a box under the passenger seat. I had to take out my jack under my drivers seats to put the N1 brain there. I wanted it far out of the way so peoples feet wouldnt hit it.
