i take it then that the xb sunvisors are a different material than in the tc, because i checked my car and the headliner, pillars, and sunvisors are all the same fabric material.

I might just have to try this on a small part of fabric...and then do my whole roof!

Yes, the xB has really cheesy, cheap vinyl visors.

Check an autoparts store, Autozone, Pepboys, etc...
It's duplicolor vinyl and fabric. I can get a pic of the can if you need it. It's been a while since I've been on the island, but you should have an autoparts store somewhere...

I just did this with my tc's sunvisors, and it looks great!

I'm done for today, but I plan on doing my whole headliner and all the pillars with this stuff. It looks great and is really really easy to do. It probably took me 45 minutes to do both sunvisors, although it took a whole can of paint.

Just an FYI: you don't want to get anything that says it is a vinyl COATING like this:
http://www.duplicolor.com/products/vinyl.html - WRONG!

You don't want to coat it, you want to DYE it. I used to be able to find the vinyl dye at auto parts stores, but I can't any more. All they have is vinyl COATING. I have been buying VHT from Amazon recently:
http://vhtdye.notlong.com/
and it works great.

VHT Penetrating Color Dye for vinyl and carpeting is a one-step process that restores or changes the color of vinyl or short nap carpeting found in today's boats, watercraft and automobiles.

It is ideal for use on stiff or pliable vinyl, simulated leather and plastic. VHT Penetrating Color Dye is not a paint but a true dye which permanently changes the color of the substrate.

It is extremely resistant to cracking or fading. Ideal for use on auto interiors, motor-cycle seats, boat interiors, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, household and office furniture.
To reiterate: you want DYE, not coating. If it doesn't say DYE, it's not the right stuff! Coating can come off, dye won't.
