Viper Alarm w/Remote start question

I had my alarm/remote start installed in October, and it's still working great.
I don't believe there is a chip in the valet key - it's just a plain ole key that doesn't work on the glove box. I didnt bother with the chip thing cause I really wasnt worried about handing a valet my regular keys - I dont keep anything incriminating or of value in the glove :D That said, two regular keys are enough for me.
