The lights look good man. It'd be bada$$ if they were wired to the dome light to come on and fade out with it like people do with the puddle lights.

I think Randode's xb has the light like that. And it has some fuzzy black hair all over it too.

both the lights and fabric are sweet. what did you tap into for the lights? how hard to take apart for the fabric?

The crushed velvet looks incredible. The white switch panels don't complement it. I agree with low_down_xb, they would look better in black. The LEDs are ok.

thanks dude

i didnt tap into anything for the lights. I had previously run a wire straight from the battery through the firewall, added an inline fuse as well as a switch. From that i just ran another wire into the door.

the fabric was easy....just take off the door panel then start cutting with a razor blade around the outside of the fabric (where the fabric meets the plastic). Now that u've cut it well enough grab a corner of the fabric where the inset pieces were, like where the pocket was or the window switch was, and pull the fabric off. now that the fabrics gone there is going to be lots of yellow foam that is left behind, to get it of just rub it with an eraser wheel. Now the new fabric is ready to go on. Now tape the edges where u dont want any glue to get and cover the rest of the door panel with paper. Cut the fabric in the general shape its gonna be and leave plenty of extra so u dont come up short. Spray the door panel and the fabric with the glue (3m 80 works pretty good) and let it sit for a second till its tacky and not runny. Place the fabric on the door panel making sure to start from the middle and working your way out, that way there are no wrinkles. Once you get to the edge cut with a pair of scisors and use a very small screwdriver to tuck it down in the crack. Total time to do door, 45min.

ill have time on monday to do some good how tos with pics
