Default Where to buy Under-seat subwoofer enclosure?

the link in the parts section is dead. Where can I get this box, and what are the dimensions and sub size options. Thanx.

I'm not sure what box you are talking about, but you may have to get a custom box made. Also, I know Pioneer makes subwoofers that are 4" deep.

Oh, I see.

That could be made by any decent car audio shop (even a decent DIYer).

I could tell you exactly what to do if you wanted to do it yourself. I would offer to build it for you, but I don't build custom systems anymore.

ya, I think I might just end up doing it myself, maybe toss a slotted port in there or something.

They built one for me did an excellent job,
Liked it so much I bought the cargo space enclosure too to add another sub to the rear.
James is great and the customer service is the best

Do some searching for recent threads in this forum buy me. Later in the month of April to be exact. I have a lot of information about the install on my wife's xB. Go with Elegonics, they can get you everything you need. They are also a retailer for Elemental Designs which I would highly recommend as the subwoofer for their enclosure and the amp to power it.

Current setup

stock HU
LOC converter
Sony Passive EQ

Quarterwave DF underseat box
Edesign 11Kv.2 Dual 2 ohm subwoofer
Ed Nine2 amp

Edi 6000 or 6500 comp 6.5 speaker and tweet
Ed Nine4 amp

no need for rear speakers, or the nine4 will drive them also.

excellent and fast service from both companies

Dang near identical to my plans for the wife's xB. Already have the QWD enclosure, 11Kv.2 and NINe.2. I used a 4 Ch. LOC and an in-line Electronic Bass Controller instead of the Sony Passive EQ.

The next upgrade will be a pair of EDi6000 and a NINe.4 amp to power them. (Maybe even add another pair of EDi6000 to the rear in the distant future.)

How do you have your two amps mounted. I was considering using some aluminum strap and "stacking" the amps under the drivers sear similar to what someone else did under their passenger seat. I already have the NINe.2 mounted under the driver's seat.

You can build a Z or a C shaped metal bracket for each side, drill holes and mount. you can velcro them to the floor/carpet

Those are the crossovers for the comps.

Each has two wires per from the amp then two pair-for mids/tweets-out to the speakers. Ez to wire. Those are from the eDi 6500 component set. The mesh grilles are not on them in the shot.

i make custom boxes for under the seat, only for 8's though. it gets you a great midbass sound that is in the middle of your setup. i sell them in pairs for 180 a set without speakers.

Bottom line... A bunch of B.S.

Keep checking http://www.quarterwavedesigns.com

They will pop back up soon. You can look at some of the recent threads in this forum to learn more. I have no doubt they will be able to accommodate you with whatever you need within the next couple of weeks.

Default Problem with quarterwavedesigns

About quarterwavedesigns, I understand they had some problems however my last communication with them was over 2 weeks ago. I paid for a customs xb box back on June 17th, and still have not recieved anything. I also sent an additional payment for an additional item on June 20th.

Wondering if anyone else is having problems with them.
