Default xB dash kit from eDashkit

Has anyone installed a xB dash kit? I am thinking of putting a dash kit, and can not find any reference to quality. eBay also have some, but I'd like to learn from people with experience before buying. Any comments are welcome.

I've been seeing some thin vinyl ones for like $40 lately. I don't know about those. I have this B&I kit. Easy to install, durable.

You can see more pics of it in my link below.

Yeah I was thinking of putting a dash kit in mine as well....but I don't want to use that cheap vinyl stuff. I was thinking of putting a white kit...... I did find a comany that makes dash kits in white on ebay but they said that within 2 years the kit would turn yellow...... So if anyone could recommend a comany that makes white ones and doesn't fade or turn yellow that would be awesome..........

thanks

BrockAbabba, where did you get those gauges and how did you install them? Also, where did you get that LED domelight? I love how you did your bike mount in the trunk (I saw yours a while ago and made one similar for my bike)! Really nice job, man.

Dan at www.splittingimagez.com helped me get the best deal on the guages. I could have fit 4!!! Totally black ones are available too, their illumination matches the AC speedo I have, better than the mirrored ones. I chose the mirrors to complement the dash kit and my head unit.

The strut bar works well. Check the pics on my link of me racing on a GT style track in WV. No body roll up front. I will buy a prettier one now that I know the xB responds to it (not all cars do). It is fantastic on clover leaf ramps. I will be putting on front sway bars too. More the merrier!!!

And thank you for the compliment on my bike rack in the hatch. I use it way more than my roof rack. Speed and aero!

The domelight was extended .25" by dremel. I got it from www.autolumination.com. They ship every tuesday and are super cheap!!! The stock bulb is 1.25" and has four LED's in it. The 1.5 has 12!!!! Much brighter. The painted versions suck ___. Only LED produces directional light without heat.

All this info is in the capions of my link below

Carry on!!

It is the one from weathertech. You really should wait to find a clear one(you can paint the inside). I had to have the exterior surface painted. I don't expect it to last that long.

As far as where? It's pretty common. Just get the best price. I think i spent around $70 total and then 40 to paint it with lotso clear coat.

I appreciate everyone's compliments

digidj, where did you get your seat covers from, and how much did they cost. look like a great alternative to the katzkin leather package the dealer offers for $1500.

if you can, shoot me a pm.

Browsed another manufacturer of dash kits - B&I http://www.bitrim.com/entry.htm
Their kit has a better overall coverage in the front than eDashkit, but neither door strips nor upper door handle surrounds are provided. Also, it's missing the ash tray accent. Other minor differences exist. I am thinking Real Carbon Fiber or brushed Aluminum. Anyone has either color installed? Need to see pics to decide. Please post yours.

I bought my kit from Edashkit and have been happy with it. I got the blue/black carbon fiber for the inside and bought a full exterior kit in silver-wire carbon fiber:

How do you extend the domelight with a dremel? Did you have to re-wire it or just bend the clips that hold the bulb?

Also, does anyone know if they make add-on interior dome lights for the back hatch area?

Thanks!
