in case you couldnt tell no one jumped on you sciondealer. you jumped on me. all i did was say that if you don't use caps you CAN ( not will ) blow 4 inchers up.

I did offer help by stating to solder the connections and to use capacitors(bass blockers) for "insurance" against blown speakers. I never talked "shi" just offered a different answer to their question. please relax. nowhere did i make a personal attack against you. yet you've called me an idiot from the start. thanks.

Question I have to ask, in wiring a amp for the front speaker where do you connect the wires coming from the amp to. The guy at the installation shop states that they just connect to the speaker wires located in the floor board. I feel like the wire from the amp should go all the way to front speakers, not just the floor board wire leads. He states the short distance between the floor board and front speaker is so short that nothing that big will be lossed. The gauge of wire is different but where /How are you guy hooking up your front speaker, and do the dash speaker connect to the door speaker?

The guy at the install shop is right and wrong. You won't be able to tell the difference by listening to it. But there would be a small amount of loss by the extra connection at the floorboard. Your the one who has to live with it, if you want the speaker wires ran all the way to the speakers then they should do that for you, no questions asked!!! Most of the people I know, myself included, would also want wires without splices ran directly to the speakers, that makes it a better reliable sound installation.

Yes the factory dash speakers ARE hooked up to the door speakers.
