Let me know if you find one! I grew up in SoCal and the drive-in was the spot to be on Friday night. My 1986 Toyota pick-up could hold nearly a dozen teenagers and they charged $6 per car. No, it wasn't safe to drive with kids hanging off the back, but it was legal back in the day.

Our local one is pretty smart, they have two screens facing tow different directions. They both run double features at the same time. This means, as a movie goer you have four movies to choose from. Or, two pairs of movies to choose from if you stay for both features. Last time I went, it was pretty busy and last time I drove by before a movie there were cars lined up for half a mile trying to get it. Pretty cool.
When I was a teenager I knew a guy that worked the consession stand.. that made it even better

Elmira (Chemung County) New York

features, seasonally, from early May thru mid-
October; on wknds only in spring & fall; 7 nites in
peak summer season. Audio is FM radio broadcast.

We saw SpiderMan (or was it SM2) at our "local" drive in.

though as poorly as it's maintained, I don't think I'll be taking the lowered xB out there.

in the tc, you just recline the rear seats some....and sit back there and use the rest of the room like a recliner...

It's too cold for me to go to a Drive In yet, though there is
one out here in the Chicago burbs. I hear they transmit the
sound for the movie through FM and you just dial it in on your
radio!! That alone is reason enough for me to get a sub!!

Though, last night I did give the lay down seats a test with
a girlfriend

Remember when they added the multiple screens? The parents would take us to see a Disney movie and I'd get smacked for trying to watch an "R" rated show out the back window. Good times! We used to get into the drive in on Warner Ave in H.B. for 3 bucks a car load. Miss the drive in.
