jetlounge.. didn't go thru the whole thread, but i'm guessing you used one of the dc-dc inverters like they use for car pc's? any issues with that? i thought they didn't put out enough power to run the xbox properly..

does yours hesitate on game loading or anything?

Yeah Jet, I saw that thread a while back. Amazing install. I was gonna PM you about the inverter-less part. I dont mind the xbox being seen. As I have the green Halo edition which matches the car.

Jorge, I've had my xbox in the car for over a year now with one of our MPI-800 power invertors. I've tried others with mixed results. the one I'm using now has no noise problems.

Yes, it is an M1-ATX, specs on the install are here:

Plus a custom built power regulator to step down the juice..a few bucks in parts from Rat Shack.

Xbox only requires about 70W to run, so no problems with the 90W supply. No, no stutter or skipping.
