Default XM Roady Install Location

Looking for photos of where you put your Roady. The only place I see where you will be able to see the display is under the heating/AC controls, but that blocks thestorage area too much, for my taste anyway. Did you find another location to mount your Roady? If so, mind sharing a photo?

Thanks!

I already have the remote, but if the Roady is in the back of the storage area you wouldn't be able to view the display very well, I wouldn't think.

Thanks for the idea though....

I mounted my old roady in a box and left it under my bed. (A) fm modulation is horrible. (B) wires goin everyewhere suck. I just bit the bullet and went with the factory option.

oh ya. check out
xmfan.com and xm411.com

they may have some ideas.

I have an Pod Pod from Griffin Technology that i use for my iPod. It sits in the cup holder like and has a cut out for the ipod. So happens the Roady 2 is about the same size so i actually have mine sitting in there right now. Not the cleanest install but it's not bad. Pod Pod is only 10 bucks too.

There are are many places to put it. It depends on exactly how you want it to look. If you are in the bay area I may be bale to help you.

I have the Roady2 and I just mounted it on one of the center air vents using the included vent clip. Sits just above the stereo within easy reach and doesn't really interfere with anything, I'm not missing the airflow from that vent.

I mounted mine to the right of the stereo..........above the glove box. I just tilt it towards me and it looks good! I also use the remote, so that I don't have to stretch to change the channel. Sorry I don't have pix! Good Luck!

on a TC i would vent mount it, unless you get the unversal vehicle mount made by bracketron, or the pro-fit ultimount where you could mount the bracket between the radio bezel or off to the side....i used the supplied vehicle mount that came with my myfi...works fine except for the glare off of the lcd at night..gonna get xm direct for my pioneer soon so this shouldnt be an issue soon
heres some pics

if you got any questions, pm me...or if your in the area...ill be happy to run thru mounting locations with ya..
