I would not recommend sleeve coil-overs on ANY vehicle! Ride quality and safety being a BIG concern!

Nothing, they will not fit on the xB, they are a universal set up, you either must use them with the perches/collars or not at all.

Let us know how it goes though.

I don't think saftey is a concern as long as you install them correctly. Ground Control has offered coilover sleaves for years. I had Skunk2 coilover sleaves on my Prelude without a problem.

However, #1 isn't known for it's great products. They'll probably ride really rough and make a lot of noise. Maybe not ... just a guess.

Yeah there is nothing wrong with sleeve coilovers. I had a set of Ground Controls on my Altima and never have one problem. The ride was actually better than the H&R springs I had on it and it was WAY lower on the GC's. But you have to keep in mind that GC uses Eibach springs and that's why they're like $400 a set. I've never seen anyone use #1 spring/coilovers but if I had to bet on it I'd say they are going to ride rough and bumpy.

Here's an idea that all the Nissan guys use with sleeve coilovers. When you install the fronts the collars are more that likely going to be bigger than the strut. Take some duct tape and wrap the strut where the collar will sit to make it a tight fit. Another thing some people do it cut the spring perches off the strut and leave like 1/4 -1/2 inch of metal on the strut so the collar will sit as far down as it can. Someitmes it will give you another 1 inch of adjustment.

Im using Dropzone sleeve coilovers in the front of my xB. The ride isnt terrible and its definately low. I have them set as low as they'll go. Ive had them for over a year now with no issues. I honestly didnt feel safe putting the rear set in. They just didnt give me a good feeling....

sleeve overs suck.

I have my own horror story with sleeves on th XB. For the rear is a definite negative. During a little ride, the sleeve came out of place dropping the rear passenger side to the ground.

You cannot compare suspensions systems from different cars, cause not all set ups are the same. I ran ground control on my civic, they were great. Just not for the xb.

If you really want to use these, just use the fronts, then for the rear get yourself some Koni adjustables and set them at the stiffest setting. And go with a set of DF210's so you can get the lower ride height for the rear.

Just my .02 of experience. I know a lot of people talk with out trying something out for themselves.
