Err...I'd be careful with those...

I'd say say save the 90.00 bucks and buy the Goldlines from Bill (scionspecialist)...

There is an old saying that goes, if it is too good to be true, then it probabally is... :?

I've seen them.

They are either Arospeed, or generic Arospeed.

They will arrive in an Arospeed box, each spring wrapped in shrink plastic. The springs and box are both imprinted with the p/n "ARO-601247"

ARO-601247 is the p/n for drop springs on a Toyota Echo. I don't know if the springs are interchangeable or not.

RS*R springs are the ti2000 (think they have a set for the ist in Japan). race, and down springs. They have down springs for the xA and xB..but they are like 280 bucks retail... I want a set of the ti2000s...but *shrug*

THanks for the props guys, most name brand are worth it, stay away from DropZone and any name you can't find on the internet. The DropZones are some real junk, the fit finish and ride are all subpar, I refuse to install them. The reason I mentioned them is these are the only spring I know of that you you can get for under a hundred bucks. Buyer beware. Bill Turner dba Scion Specialties

If these are not what they say, I doubt I will put them on. Just put them back on ebay. I was considering RSR before this auction, so I bought them. I figured worst come to worst 100 bucks is not the end of the world.

Your right, this is what showed up, I called an b***hed. They said they would take them back. so beware of that auction. Havn't decided what I am going to do with them.

Arospeed Says they will work with no problems, so I may Install them. Echo people are installing Scion springs with no problems. So I may put them in and see what happens.

So ARE Echo springs interchangeable with Scion springs????? That part I actually do not know myself.

Curiosity got the best of me and I called the people listed in the auction (the seller) and they swore they are - but I don't know. Obviously it's in their best interest to lie to you and sell the product.

Did a cross check on eBay and the same Arospeed springs listed for an Echo specifically are like $85 or something like that.

I called arospeed they said that they are interchangeable. They also said that they would warranty them 100% used on a scion. Also said they had several employees with arospeed echo springs on there scions. The guy on ebay says he has at least 20 with these springs with no problem( but his word is worthless). On echofans.com they are buying xa and xb springs and using them, with out problems. Only thing is I bet they sit lower then 2 inch drop because of the weight difference. almost 400lbs. Arospeed also seems to have problems with them sagging after time.

Bottom line this guy is shady he will be less than truthful about the springs. To his credit he did agree to take them back, but only if I shipped them first. I just want you guys to know what they are before you order. I am going to leave negative feedback for them though. But I think I will experiment and put them on, if they are crap i'll just take them back off. Bottom line is I want the drop in a week for a show, so after that I will decide about them.

The lava in the auction is supposed to be the shop's owner's XB w/ thes springs.

I'm in Miami and I bought these springs from him he is the owner of wheel outlet. I installed them today and they look great. I am going to attach some pics. He is an honest guy.

My major issue was that they said these were RS Racing Springs. Which they are not. They came in an Arospeed box & stamped w/ arospeed part numbers. If he would have said they were arospeed I wouldn't say a word. I now beleive they will fit and work just fine, but I still have an issue with they way he did business.

Your ride does looks good with them on it, those 18's? How is the ride? Stiff or softer than stock?

I don't know what happened he might of gotten mistaken or something but anyways yeah the are 18's and I just installed them today but so far the ride is great it is a little bit stiffer than stock but not much. I would say it is very much like the stock ride.

im the guy selling the springs on ebay.
-no im not shady, i put the springs on my car when i did the 20" TIS wheels and when i got them i was told they were RS-Racing springs. they were not in a box when i got mine they were in a regular brown box, i was told they were sample springs for a scion. every set of these springs i sold never shipped from my building, they shipped from the main warehouse. only till FENDED came and picked up his springs did i find out they were in arospeed boxes when i picked them up from the distributor. once the springs settle you get about 2 inches all around the car. i had the 20's on my car and loaded up the car with as much weight as i could fit and it never rubbed.

sounds on the up and up to me.

Arospeed says they're compatible. "Llamabob" says he's the seller - and spoke up! His seller feedback rating is good (although I notice Llamabob, you do not RETURN feedback... SHAME SHAME SHAME on you, that scares a lot of people from bidding - it makes it look like you don't have good customer follw-up. From one seller to another -- leave your feedback for your buyers.)

To other Scionlife members - loking for springs - I'd say Llamabob's got a good deal going on and he can be reached for comment. A+

I agree that the parts will work, and i will keep them and put them on, for little bit. But I still think the fact that what exactly the parts were never disclosed was wrong. I just think that in the future you need to be very clear what they are. I am basically content, but I still think the auction was conducted very bad.
