Default air suspension and low offset wheels + fender pulling?

I did searches, has anyone successfully pulled out their fenders enough to run air suspension with low offset wheels (comparable to Sportmax 002's, 15x8 +0 front and rear).

I'm wondering how much I can pull my rear fender out to clear my rims. Safest I've seen on this board is 15x8 +15 fitment on air suspension, and that barely clears tires without rolling fenders.

Please post up your input. Thanks.

yeah, i've got the 15x8 501s with the +15 offset with air and they just barely clear without having to mod the fenders. fitting those 15x8s with the +0 offset is going to take a little work. you could roll and pull the fenders. you could try adding some camber plates too. if you wanted to go this far you could get the fenders and add some fender flares.

I'm going to run 15x8, -6 in the rear. I have a set of OTG camber plates waiting on the side and also a set of ScionFX flares. If I run the flares, the wheels will be too weak to sit flush with the lip of the flares.. That's why I'm looking at my options of how much I can pull the rear fenders out. Then I could sell the flares. Thanks for your input.

OK this is what I did, I have 002's and -3 in the rear.
I no it sucks to rub and sometimes you want to have
your buddies come along. also I'm on df210's

Either you roll your fenders or you cut the lip with a
grinder. I had rolled my fenders and it still wasn't
enough, it would still rub towards the front of the
fender. So what I did was I got a Grinder and I cut out
the remainder of the lip ( the part that was still rubbing)
and now I have no rubbing at all with 4 people in
the box, this includes hard dips and everything.
No pulling just cutting, that should be it.

Its not hard at all, takes about 30 minutes for 2 fenders.
You will need the necessary grinder to do this, I work
at a shop so I just did it on my spare time. If you dont
have the tools just take it to a body shop, they shouldnt
charge much.

Sounds good. Just to let you guys know, I meant 15x8, -6 offset, with an OTG -3 degree spacer. So I'll need to do a little more work to make it fit, especially with air. If anything I might end up just cutting the inner lip of the fender and then do a good pull with the roller.

Rob, did you have any problems with quarterpanel separation after cutting the inner lip? I know the metal is only seam sealed, makes me question the integrity of the frame if their is nothing holding the metal together. Thanks.

Nice stance, but in all honestly, it's no where close to the same offset, regardless if it's a 9.5" wide wheel.

NO, its all very well attached, and as far as the lip
goes, its part of the rear quarter panel so there is
no seperation possible as its all one piece.

also, if your going to be running a -6 offset might
I recommend the evolved concepts -5 shim instead
of the OTG -3 shim, that should probably give
you the clearance you want with only cutting the
lip. Instead of doing flares or any pulling.

That setup is baby compared to what I'm asking. Clearance is key, but with what I'm trying to pull makes clearance that much more harder. I'm not ******* that guy's work, he did a nice job with fitment. Just that, like I said previously, his offset is a no where near my specs that I'm working with..

That's definitely good to hear about the quarter panels. As for the Evolved Concept shims, I have heard of them before, but it's just too rediculous of a stance for me.. It looks sick, but it would be a cop magnet, especially with the laws here locally. I don't mind pulling, I like the look and I know it's not that difficult if you have the roller. If worst gets to worse, I could go to the body shop to get it done "right" but that's why I'm posting here first.. to see if I can avoid that visit.

Thanks again for everyone's feedback, I really appreciate it.

i believe all you have to do is roll the fender or cut the lip (your choice) to run the 15x8 -6. that size and offset is not that crazy. wouldn't even need any camber shims

Not if you want the wheels to tuck...
One of the guys around here bagged on 16x8 002 et 0.
When he aired out, he creased both of his front fenders.

Have you considered cutting the fenders and running flares?

I have considered that, but the ScionFX flares that I have sitting on the side is too wide for my rims. If I knew I was going to be able to pick up the flares from my friend, I would've went with 15x9, -25F/-35R.. That's why I'm trying to stick to pulling the rear quarterpanel out to try and tuck the wheels I have..

wow, wonder how bad that throws off the alignment of the other parts, ie. door and hood.

I don't think it'll effect anything by the looks of the picture. The bolt in between is on the lower part of the fender, and is probably only used to allow more play to pull the fender out more.. The top near the hood and the rear by the doors probably line of perfect still.

Randode(Randy) made a new bumper bracket to re-align the bumper to the new fender position after spacing, pulling and trimming to allowing the 19" tire to tuck without touching anything. Normally it would push on the fender and bow out the bumper at full drop.

Randy is known for his attention to detail and wants his work to look and function perfect. This is a good example of that.
