I kinda like it but I would use it for mounting amps, subs.

the reason its perfect for me is, i'm getting the audio formz enclosure and amp rack for the back of mine. I am also ordering NOS. My mission was to find a place to mount the bottle, with the audio formz installed. This cage will give me that spot. I will mount the bottle to the under side of the cage, suspended over the audio formz equipment.

I'm sure it would have to help, its mounted to the threaded
hole in the inner support of the rear quarters, almost center
(between the roof and floor), in line with the strut towers.
Double braced cross bars, and extra side support to the
higher up "C" pllar bolts, seams to be a solid idea.. IMO

sadly, I think that is one of the most useless mods you could possibly do to an xB.. There's no point it tightening up that point of the structure, especially since it does not tie up to anything crucial on the frame.. This is just another bling mod that's great for hanging baby clothes.

i agree 100% the bracket they use to tie in behind the seat belt only uses 1 bolt. which means that it would pivot under stress resulting in loss of rigidity. in turn, making it useless. IMO, but i'm no engineer or or anything.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that shares this opinion. If you want something that'll make your box perform better than that bling bar, I'd invest that money in a rear swaybar.

looks to be a good show piece to say the least, it would look good if you had the Motor fx harness bar too...

brace will offer no added stiffness whatsoever. I worked in a race fab shop and showed the pics to my boss and he almost peeded himself laughing at it. those mount points are not tied to anything but some flimsy sheet metal. And those are heim joints on the bar mounts. ITs in the word joint. They are designed to move smoothly. they will not be stiff... but for baby clothes, i think it will stand up to the test of time

I knew I should've followed through on my A-Pillar brace. Another opportunity missed...

(hehehe, it's actually a mounting bar for my Wink mirrors)
